White, beak-shaped jug (Chahai) from Dehua into which the steeped tea is poured before being distributed into the cups, for Gong Fu Cha. The term Gaogu refers to the high-grade, warm, ivory-like quality of the porcelain and literally means "high bone". Dehua has been known since the Ming dynasty for its high-quality porcelain, which was exported in large quantities to Europe under the name "blanc de chine" in the 18th century.
