Wu Dong Song Zhong

A very beautiful Fenghuang Dancong of outstanding quality that needs a lot of attention. Plucked from high up on Mount Wudong from over 70-year-old tea bushes of the Songzhong sub-variety, carefully processed and roasted over medium lychee charcoal. Songzhong, ‘Song (dynasty) variety’ means the following: Cuttings were taken from a tea tree that originates from the Song dynasty and is therefore at least 700 years old and replanted. These tea bushes themselves are not that old, but their genetic material is, which is naturally reflected in their flavour. Songzhong Dancong belongs to the Huangzhixiang fragrance category, ‘gardenia fragrance’.
