Gu Shu Cha Ya

Fresh, still unopened buds (Chaya) from old trees (Gushu) in Yunnan, harvested in winter. These are not typical tea trees in the strict sense, but another Camellia species, probably a local variant of Camellia taliensis. Gushu Chaya is processed like a classic white tea: it is withered in the sun for a long time and then dried.
