Da Ye Hong

A very good and affordable black tea from Fengqing, that does not have the typical taste of a Yunnan black tea (Dianhong). It is produced from an old, local tea-plant variety. For this tea mostly older and more mature leaves are harvested (two leaves and a bud), whereas Dian Hong are made from fresh buds and one or two leaves. Hence the name; Dayehong means "black tea from big leaves".
