Noble tea pot from Dehua, white, matt, transparent, for Gong Fu Cha. Named after Xishi, the first of the four famous Chinese beauties, who lived in the 5th century B.C.E. and seduced a prince who then neglected his government business. The name jade porcelain refers to its milky, translucent characteristic. Dehua has been known since the Ming dynasty for its high-quality porcelain, which was exported in large quantities to Europe under the name "blanc de chine" in the 18th century.
