Old, stored Pu Er Sheng Cha

Pu Er 8892

7Y88
A very rare and sought-after raw Pu’er made from ancient tea trees in Yiwu. Wang Manyuan of Hong Kong had this tea produced in 1988 by the Yunnan branch of the then-state-owned tea company. The first batch—of which we were able to purchase four cakes through Shuitang in Zurich from the well-known Taiwanese dealer You Jinsong—was made exclusively from ancient tea trees; for the second batch, leaves from young trees were also picked. Unfortunately, there are many counterfeits of this and other well-known, old teas on the market, especially online. Stored in Hong Kong and Taiwan until 2016
