Japanese wooden box with a cover, which is varnished with Urushi lacqueur. The wood grain is clearly visible. The interior of the box is beautifully decorated on two sides with golden trees and clouds. The box can be used to store items, such as a chawan. It is also possible to open two sides of the box, allowing it to be used for displaying objects. The cover could also be used as an additional display surface.
