Wonderful Anxi Tieguanyin in traditional processing, grown on Mount Bijiashan southwest of the city of Anxi. It is wilted and moderately oxidized, which makes the leaf edges reddish. Only a small amount was produced from this first picking of 2024. The result is a dense, floral and aromatic oolong.
The Tieguanyin tea plant variety is named after Guanyin (Avalokiteshvara in India), which is why the tea is also translated as "Iron Buddha of Compassion".
