Chashitsu

Room for the Japanese tea ceremony

Peace and silence in mind and body, being connected to the outside world, being free from thoughts, drinking tea together.

The Japanese tea ceremony - the gathering over a bowl of Maccha creates a moment of connection between guest and host, a connection with oneself, being touched in the here and now.

In our Chashitsu we offer various ways to get to know and experience the Japanese tea ceremony.

Insight into the Japanese tea ceremony

In the Japanese tea room (Chashitsu), the tradition of hospitality, which is deeply rooted in Japanese culture, can be experienced over a bowl of Maccha. On Friday and Saturday afternoons, the Chashitsu opens its doors for a glimpse. The Japanese Maccha is prepared personally and with great attention for each guest. A Japanese sweet is served with it. You can come in at any time, treat yourself to a little break and enjoy a nice bowl of tea.
