Tea journey South China
Pu Er and black tea
This tea tour takes you to Yunnan, to the roots of tea. Tea culture originated in Yunnan several millennia ago; the tea plant has its origins in this province in south-west China. Yunnan offers the unique opportunity to visit tea plants that are several hundred years old and to witness the production of Pu Er and black teas. The roads to tea are lined with traditional villages of different minorities rooted in Yunnan and lead through impressive, unspoilt landscapes.

As in many places, there is also a tea route here and beautiful tea gardens to visit around the city. On the first day, we walk along the tea street, where tea shops are lined up one after the other, taste tea in various places and visit the old town.

We drive into the hills around Dali. We pick tea leaves in the tea gardens and then process them by hand. Later we visit the three pagodas of the Chongsheng Monastery, the landmark of Dali.
