Mao Feng
Mao Feng, literally "hairy summit", is produced in many places around China and probably originates in Huangshan (in Anhui province). Usually, the bud and two leaves are used for this tea, particularly leaves from a second plucking, and in part from varietals with large leaves. The leaves are often heated in an oven with hot air. Mao Feng teas are rather of dark green colour and some are very quaffable. With this tea, the bitter green tea note is rather in the background.
