Hojicha

Hojicha is "roasted tea", as the japanese name indicates. To produce it, the finished tea (Sencha, Kukicha or Bancha) is roasted in pans. The "three-year tea" consists of wooden, roasted twigs only. Hojicha teas are rather and bread-like in taste.
