Genmaicha
Genmaicha literally means "natural/wholegrain rice tea". Roasted rice grains are added to the tea (Sencha, Kukicha or Bancha). Originally, this tea was drunk by the fasting monks. Gen Mai Cha teas have, besides the taste of the tea, a note of rice waffles or puffed rice.
