Kukicha

Kukicha means "stem/twig tea". For this kind of green tea, the leaves and the twigs of the tea bush are used. Often the leftovers from the Sencha production that cannot be sorted any further are used for Kukicha. Kukicha teas are softer and lighter than Sencha.
